Digger Tuesday...Something "Especial"

What happened to Digger Monday? I've been super busy. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
Remember Arlen's Especial? After finishing the show circuits and being street ridden for awhile, Arlen yanked the motor and sold it. Interestingly enough, the powerplant that was removed was used in Ness-tique. Anyway, Ed Sorenson picked up the pieces with the help of Barry Cooney and got this killer digger back on the road. Jim Davis and Arlen built the frame. It uses rubber blocks on either side of the swingarm center for suspension. It works very similar to a draft gear on a railroad car, and allowed for 2" of travel in both directions. Bob Monroe fabbed the oil and gas tanks. Of course, the leaf was done by the best there ever was, Jeff McCann.

Digger Monday...Risky BizNess

Alright, it's not really a digger. Cory built this bike in '85, diggers were done, and the Ness's were applying their style to the fat bob scene. None the less Cory's insane supercharged shovel rules. Check out the 80 inch MagnaCharger fed by 3, that's right, 3 SU's. Talk about a tuning nightmare! Imagine hitting the nitrous button? 

Everything on this bike is over the top. All the usual suspects were involved, Jim Davis, Bob Monroe, Jeff McCann, Rudy Pena, Daryl Hayes, Jim Doherty, Bob Vance Mike Leonard and probably that cat named Arlen. 

This bike was for sale when it was built for $25,000. That was some serious scratch back then, but you got a hell of a bike, built by the finest craftsmen. Hopefully, this scoot is still together. If you know it's where abouts, hit me up.

Digger Monday...Arlin Fatland

This scoot is often mistaken for one of Arlen's, which it's not. Arlin didn't build this bike either, it was built by Bob Vance. And check out the killer leaf work, by the one and onle Jeff McCann.

Digger Monday...At A Complete Loss

Digger Monday isn't quite the same without Jeff. Hell, he painted almost all of the great ones. What can you say that hasn't been said?

RIP Mr. McCann...Motorcycles Forever!

I just heard the unfortunate news we have lost another icon in the motorcycle and custom paint community. In every paint job, Jeff snuck in the words motorcycles forever. Motorcycles forever Jeff! You are deeply missed.
