Showrod Sunday...Gary Meyers' Vampyre

Gary built this killer bubbletop with good friend Elden Titus. To keep build costs down, they used an '87 S-10 with Air Ride suspension and dropped in the tried and true small block 350. They channelled the cab 8 inches over the frame, chopped the roof off and used it as a starting point for their all steel body. The bubble was blown in 1/4 inch plexi, and was probably the most expensive part of the build. The rod brought home a ton of trophies for their efforts including America's Top Custom at the Leadsled Spectacular and the Go For The Gold 20 grand top prize at Darryl Starbird's Tulsa show. Not too shabby!
