I haven't worked on this bitch since February. She's a mild custom made up of a mess of different year parts, a Santee swing arm frame, yadayadayada. It's no surprise not everything fits together easily.
I always loved FL fenders, but if you look at the radius, it gets kind of funky towards the rear. I always hated that about them and these fenders (at least the aftermarket ones) have a tendency to crack.
The fender was having some clearance issues with my oil tank mounts. I frenched in some pockets for the tank mounts, welded in a piece of 1/8 to correct the radius and welded some 1/8 rod around the inside of the fender. A little bit of metalwork, prime and she'll be ready for paint!
