Show Rod Sunday...Cousin Lester
Les Dunham is a local legend around here. Totally out of his mind, but a fabrication genius. Les is always building something insane. Search Dunham Coachworks on YouTube, Retrocycles did a cool interview with him.
I used to work down the street from Les, back when I was at Nostalgia's old shop on Division street. You would never know what was going on in Les's shop, pimp mobiles, bikes, movie cars, etc. He's done stuff for Barris, built tons of cars for celebrities, etc, but you'd never know it. He's just a talented cat without an ego.

Elvis is alive and well
Apparently the King went underground, but still has the good sense to rock a digger when he's out and about!

I'm A Sad Boy...
Hockey seasons officially over. The Cup has been won, the award banquet is over. Maybe my Devils will get it together next year.

HD Discontinues Sidecars
Due to steady sales of Harley's new trikes, they are ceasing manufacturing sidecars after the last of the '11 orders are filled. Fuck 'em, this rig is nicer than anything ol' Willie could have dreamed up anyways.

Digger Monday...Cory's Sporty
Cory Ness built this killer '58 sporty when he was just 18. Check out the detail that went into fabricating this fine scoot. Outstanding!

New toy...
I'm very happy with the Lincoln tig 'cause no I can do my aluminum work (as in bike stuff) on my bench. A whole lot easier than going to the other shop and borrowing a machine. Maybe they'll let me take the second tig home? I asked and they said NO. It was worth a shot!

Garlic Run...Ferry Street
The run was decent. Good weather meant it was good turnout. I didn't take any real pics. Most bikes were right off the showroom floor, with a few customs here and there. All of Ferry Street was happening with bikes lined up from Penn Station to Jackson Street. Iberia's was the main place for hangin' and drinkin' plus they had a real good band there too!

Attention Jersey Boys...Garlic Run TONIGHT!
I'm not one for Police sanctioned events, but I do this one every year because 100% of the money from the run goes to pay for medical bills for kids with catastrophic illnesses. The run ends in Newark on Ferry street this year because once again, the. Mayor of NYC blows. Hit it up if you can make it! Good food and good times.

Pan Diggers...
If I remember correctly, this bike belonged to the owner of Brown's Plating. I have more pics of it somewhere. The Horse also did an article on this bike a couple of years back.
SU carb, Magnacharger, gold plating, AND it's a pan...what's not to love?

Digger Monday...Noot's Ride
Noot has a really cool blog at rickynoot.blogspot.com. Noot's into diggers and happens to own this kick ass bike here. I asked Noot for the skinny and this what he sent me.
4 5/8 S&S vintage striker flywheels with all correct case and cylinder mods, S&S striker pistons for 3" bore, no stroker plates needed. Jerry Branch ported the heads in the early '70's. He says you should see these heads apart, they are polished like chrome on the exhaust side - XLR Factory HD tulip-type valves. Andrews R5 cams. BACC fender, steel peanut tank chopped and sectioned, 16" Borrani, turned legs, custom oil bag and gas tank mounts. If you're looking to build a beast...here's your recipe kids! Check out Noot's blog while you're at it. Good times, paint, machining, engine building, bikes, chicks...the Noot's got ya covered.
