Show Rod Sunday...Carl Casper

Casper's Ghost. I love modified "t-buckets", especially this one. A recurring theme in Casper's creations were multiple superchargers. This one is no exception!

Alchemy...or the Midas touch

Have you checked the price of gold plating lately? I have. Damn I wish I could afford it. Nothing looks better than gold, but I can barely afford to chrome my scoot!

One of my favorite pics...

This bike started life back in '77 as an XLCR. Originally owned by Dean Nelson and later by Sid Joseph, this bike has been a a top winner in the ISCA series of shows, as well as the Sweepstakes Winner for 1980-81. She sports an all steel handmade body, one off turbo, and extensive use of chrome and gold plating. Approximately $25,000 in materials were involved in the building of this machine at the time.

Digger Monday...the Magic Pan

The Magic Pan was owned by Syd DeSoto. No money was spared on the 24 karat gold plated turbo, cases, and heads. Hex turned cylinders, engraving, airbrushing, this baby had it all. I always dug the mirror mounted on the front axle!

Show Rod Sunday...Trendero

This '57 Ranchero was originally built by Dave Public and John Malik to promote their custom shop. In '82 it was found sitting behind a shop in Chicago under a cover. It was recently acquired by Dave Shuten, who simply cleaned and polished it, as is. These wild customs from the '50's are still out there!

tIt's Friday...

Too lazy today to post anything , feel like shit. Tomorrow I was gonna ride to to Philly, then to Baltimore to the Ride to Skate party/show then back to Jersey. Probably not gonna make it. Normally I'd jump at the chance of 8 hour ride and some drinking, but I think I'm gonna stay home and sleep. Have a better weekend than me! Stay thirsty my friends.

Rhinebeck Alert

The Rhinebeck Grand National Meet is June 10-12 this year. This show is definitely worth checking out. The motorcycle show is a sight to see! Plus the Leadfist show on Saturday, should be a good time. Check it out at http://www.rhinebecknationalmeet.com

Digger Monday...Jeff McCann

Absolutely killing it. If you don't know him, he's painted alot of Ness bikes. Search mcwont on flicker. His pics have lots of digger history, how ti's on gold leaf etc.
Anyway a couple of posts ago, I showed the famous "Goldie". I was kind of skeptical on the paint because it was signed Arlen. Rowan sent me the McCann pic which clearly shows Goldie's tank on the right. So it's confirmed. Thanks Rowan!

Sunday Show Rod...Roth's Rubber Ducky plug for sale

Roth built this trike in '70 using a Honda 600cc car engine and trans. Anyway, the body plug is for sale from the original mold. What's a body plug? It's used to protect a mold when not in use. Basically it's a body made of fiberglass, just a lighter version of a finished body. If interested, call Moldy Marvin at 661 944-2299.

Fageol Supercharger

These make for super clean installation, but look way to modern for a shovel or ironhead.

tIt's Friday...The Cinderella Cart

The Cinderella Cart was built by Gary Littlejohn. You know the guy, he made all those cool prism tanks, all kinds of trick parts, practically invented bmx frames, built street rods, etc. There was a great article in Street Chopper on the man not too long ago. It's archived on their website.
If you know the whereabouts on this trike, drop me a line, Gary's daughter is looking for it!
