Love 'em or hate 'em, most people have had some sort of connection with these things. I can proudly say I've owned a couple kick ass ones myself ('64 Baja, '84 Gti set up for autocross, a pair of Scirocco's, and even a VW trike). I even did a stint at a very well known VW shop and started the largest all water-cooled VW show in the US that is still held to this day.
Anyway, check out this Volksrod. A buddy of mine built one of these about ten years ago. Never really dug it, Ya can't make a rod out of a bug, but this one works. No info on it.
