Happy New Years...Be Responsible

I'd sooner see a church burn down than see somebody wastin' beer. Now if your naked and a chick, I can let it slide.Get your party on, fuckers!

Times Square...Just Got Back

The place is a f'n zoo. 27 degrees out and the wind is howling through the concrete canyon. If any of you crazy bastards are going tonight, have fun, be safe and try to stay warm.

Shop Sunday...New Digger

I'm usually too damn busy to ever post stuff that's in the shop. The majority of the stuff I'm crankin' on is other people's projects or parts, be it chops or hot rods. The past couple years, I haven't really made time for my own projects, but it hasn't stopped me from hoarding parts for them. Lately I've been selling off parts I'm never gonna use and projects I've lost interest in. Hopefully the extra room will get me motivated to get some work done for myself.
If you remember this past digger Tuesday post, I have the parts to clone Harland's scoot. This build isn't going in that direction, but I needed to get this into a roller. The tank is from my blower bike which will be finished this coming year.

Digger Tuesday...The Late Edition

This is Harland Letts digger. Harland's from Michigan, so you can see the deviation from the Bay Area formula. For one, he's running a 2 up seat for haulin' the ladies. You'll also notice a Jammer 12 over springer on this bitch. He ended up raking the Ness frame in order to do this. Power is supplied by a 1000cc mill fed by Mikuni. All in all, it's a pretty neat digger.

Showrod Sunday... The Mach IV

MSN Auto selected GAS's Mustang as one of the best cars from SEMA this year. This ride is 100% bad ass. The quote is from MSN. "Galpin Ford has been building and customizing unique one-off vehicles for years, and this is an early example of the company’s creative genius. As the name says, this dragster — built by Gary Weckesser — is powered by four V8 engines. Based on a 1969 Ford Mustang funny car, this dragster was quite popular on the show circuit from 1969 to 1975. But it wasn’t simply a show car; its four engines put out an estimated 3000 horsepower. The Mach IV could hit a quarter-mile in around seven seconds at a speed of 180 mph."
It's like TV tommy Ivo's dragster on 'roids.

Digger Monday...White Lightning

Check out Bill England's radical '82 Honda 750. The basically stock mill was tucked in a Ness frame, fed by one of Arlen's rocket tanks, and guided by a 6 over Durfee girder. Ride the lightning!

Sunday Showrods...The Snake Pit

Barris built this car to break land speed records well over 300mph. As far as all accounts, this machine never saw the salt. It currently resides in jolly ol' England where it was going to be part of a failed Euro Disney exhibition. It was later sold to a private buyer in 2006 for $37,400. Not bad considering the buyer got 6 Cobra Jets, coupled to 2 C-6's, feeding to Pontiac rears. Maybe old Georgie couldn't afford Dana's at the time of the build. Supposedly this thing was allegedly cranking 2000 hp. Total build time was 4 years on a budget of $100,000.

WTF Wednesday...Fucked

I was messing around trying to sort out a buddy's wiring problems on his ironhead on the side of the road. Between the spaghetti mess of wires and this FukAsan ignition switch (which roughly translates into you're fucked) we were able to sort it out and get him home.

Digger Monday...Turbo Man

Here's a sweet turbo pan digger with all the usual goodies. I found this scoot for sale locally. The bad news is this guy has his heart set on 24 g's. That's not gonna happen  giving the shape she's in. There's a lot of potential if the price was right.
Nothing says I'm flippin' a bike like pictures on a flatbed or trailer. For God's sake, put the thing on the ground for pics! Just sayin'.

Digger Monday...Mckay's Tribute

Bob started with this '77.
Stretched the frame like the old Ness hardheads.
Add an original PM front 18"er and an old 15" American Racing car wheel.

Painted and engraved!
Bob and his killer digger! This fine scoot is featured in the November IronWorks magazine.
If you don't know Bob's work you need to check him out! Bob's been building bikes since 1970. He's owned his own HD dealership, designed parts for Custom Chrome, Drag Specialities, etc. He now operates Mckay's Cycle Creations in Ontario, Canada.
